HC Deb 23 March 1978 vol 946 c722W
Mrs. Jeger

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what provision has been made in the estimates 1978–79 for the running of and essential repairs at the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital; and when he expects to receive the views of the regional board on the long-term future of this hospital.

Mr. Roland Moyle

The Camden and Islington Area Health Authority (Teaching) has not yet received its financial allocation for 1978–79 from the North East Thames Regional Health Authority. The AHA(T) intends to continue to fund the running costs of the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital until a decision on the hospital's future is taken, at which time a decision on repair works will be made.

I understand that the RHA will be considering a report on the future of this hospital at its April meeting and that it will refer its conclusions to my right hon. Friend shortly thereafter.
