HC Deb 13 March 1978 vol 946 c66W
Mr. McCusker

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many leases for 99 years and 999 years, respectively, were granted in the designated area of the New Town of Craigavon, and what were the principal reason for diverging from Section 16(a)(ii) of the New Town Act (N.I.) 1965.

Mr. Carter

Craigavon Development Commission granted 19 leases for a 99-year term and 340 leases for a 999-year term. All the leases complied with the provisions of Section 16(a)(ii) of the New Towns Act (Northern Ireland) 1965.
