§ Dr. SummerskillI understand that 309 local authorities have registered lottery schemes with the Gaming Board for Great Britain. Since the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 has been in operation for only one year, it is too early to make a worthwhile assessment, but I would draw the attention of the hon. Member to the reply my right hon. Friend gave to a Question by my hon. and learned Friend the member for Leicester, West (Mr. Janner) on 20th April.—[Vol. 948, c.284.]
