HC Deb 27 July 1978 vol 954 c910W
Mr. Lee

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make inquiries to inquire as to the responsibility for the Lupone village massacre in Rhodesia; if he will give an assurance that no pardon will be conferred, as part of any settlement of the Rhodesian problem, upon any persons convicted of crimes connected with this massacre; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Rowlands

We are not in a position to make our own investigations into incidents in Rhodesia. The terms of a final settlement are ultimately a matter for agreement among all the parties.
