§ Mr. CryerSince 1974 regional development grants paid total £1,338.5 million and assistance amounting to £1,275.5 million has been offered under other sections of the 1972 Industry Act. The total amounts offered under sections 7 and 8 in Great Britain are £444.1 million and £813.8 million, respectively. The corresponding figures for Calderdale are £1.2 million and £2.9 million; a further 33 applications for assistance in Calderdale are under consideration.
