§ 40. Miss Boothroydasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the preliminary study of the establishment in London of an international commodity centre has been completed, and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. LuardAs I told the hon. Member for Wallasey (Mrs. Chalker) on 26th April, we are conscious of the urgency of this matter. My right hon. Friend's officials continue to be in touch with the commodity organisations and we expect the preliminary study to be ready shortly. It would be premature to make a statement before Ministers have been able to consider the study.
