§ Mr. Trotterasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer why he will not increase the tax-free limit of luncheon voucher expenses from 15p to a figure equivalent at present to the value of 15p when the concession was first introduced.
§ Mr. Robert SheldonI do not think an increase would be justified. To increase the value of the concession would be unfair to the millions of workers who have the benefit neither of luncheon vouchers nor of subsidised canteens.
