HC Deb 13 July 1978 vol 953 c740W
Mr. Ridley

asked the Secretary of State for Transport, further to his answer of 5th July to the hon. Member for Cirencester and Tewkesbury about the property of the National Bus Company, whether he is satisfied that the profit of £20.192 million for 1977 which, in fact, turns out to be a loss of £8.88 million represents an adequate standard of accounting.

Mr. William Rodgers

The accounts showed clearly the adjustment needed if full replacement cost depreciation were provided. I see no grounds to object.
