§ Mr. MarksLocal authority aggregate working parties have been set up in all regions to monitor the supply of and demand for aggregates, and the Department will be publishing a collation of the initial reports from the working parties later in the year. While I am generally satisfied that the demand can be met in the short- and medium-term, longer-term difficulties can be foreseen in certain regions, and the Department will be discussing with the local authorities and the industry how these difficulties can best be resolved.
