§ Mr. Parkasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many men and women over the age of 80 years living in the region containing Coventry, North-East constituency have been granted pensions under Section 11 of the National Insurance (Old Person's and Widow's Pensions) Act.
§ Mr. OrmeI understand that my hon. Friend has in mind the number of people over the age of 80 who are receiving non-contributory retirement pensions under Section 39 of the Social Security Act 1975. I regret that this information is not available on a regional basis, but in November 1976, the latest date for which figures are available, there were about 9,500 men and 67,500 women over 80 receiving these pensions in Great Britain.
