§ Mr. OakesThe rate support grant is a block grant, in aid of local government expenditure as a whole, and it is for each local authority to decide what the implications of successive settlements might be for the services it provides. For information on the education budget of the Nottinghamshire County Council, I would advise my hon. Friend to contact the local authority.
