§ 35. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress is being made in the discussions between the five Western Powers and South Africa concerning the termination of South Africa's illegal occupation of Namibia.
§ Dr. OwenTalks between the Five and the South African Government have made considerable progress towards an internationally acceptable settlement in Namibia. A number of problems still remain, however, and we hope to hold further talks soon with the parties concerned in an effort to resolve these.
