§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will publish a table in the Official Report corresponding to that in Appendix U of the most recent annual report under the Industry Act 1972, giving a breakdown of data for England, Scotland, Wales and for the United Kingdom, respectively, up to the latest date for which figures are available.

There was a large upsurge in the number of applications at the end of 1977 and detailed breakdowns have not yet been completed.
