§ 39. Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what recent progress he has made in his partnership scheme for East London local authorities.
§ Mr. ShoreThe Docklands Partnership met formally for the first time under my chairmanship on 12th December last, and will meet again in the spring. At the meeting the partnership agreed on arrangements for drawing up a joint programme for the three years beginning April 1979, for which I have allocated £45 million out of the Urban Programme. For the financial year 1978–79 I have allocated £3¼ million from the Urban Programme in addition to the £17 million allocated for construction projects completed before 31st March 1979.
