§ Mr. DeakinsThis possibility is being considered by a joint working party of officials from my Department and the Inter-bank Research Organisation and Bankers' Automated Clearing Services Ltd. which are representing the banking industry. Much work remains to be done, however, and it will be some time before a final decision can be reached.
