HC Deb 02 February 1978 vol 943 c278W
46. Mr. Flannery

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if any films of the picketing of the Grunwick factory were made by the police on duty; and if he will call for a report from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis on the matter.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

The Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis tells me that a number of films have been taken by the police of picketing outside the Grunwick factory. These films were made to assist senior officers in assessing the effectiveness of police deployments to deal with disorder, and for training purposes.
