§ Lord SEGALasked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether, in previous general elections held in the island of Dominica, instances have occurred of polling-booths being in the homes of supporters of the Government Party; and what advice can Her Majesty's Government give with a view to preventing such occurrences in the future.
§ Lord GORONWY-ROBERTSThe British Government have no responsibility for the internal affairs of Dominica; it would be for the courts of Dominica to hear and determine any petition concerning polling station arrangements in accordance with Dominican electoral law. So far as can be ascertained, however, no protests were made about such arrangements by any Party to the last general election in 1975.
