§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Industry what estimate his Department made of the minerals, other than hydrocarbons, available for exploitation in the United Kingdom continental shelf and the size of reserves of the minerals involved.
§ Mr. Les Huckfield:No such estimate is available for those minerals which are the responsibility of my Department.
My Department is, however, contributing to the cost of an exploration programme of the continental shelf currently being carried out by the Institute of Geological Sciences.
