HC Deb 15 December 1978 vol 960 cc542-3W
Mr. Mather

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what proposals he has received for the use of Woodlands Lane, A245, to be used as a primary haulage route during the construction of the M25: and if he will consider environmental objections in reaching his decision on the matter.

Mr. Horam:

The question was raised during the public inquiry into the nearby M25 motorway proposals. The inspector was asked to make recommendations about the use of the A245 and I cannot anticipate the decision to be made by my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Transport and the Environment. All objections, including environmental ones, will be carefully considered.
