Mr. Watkinson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many nurses are required to operate the Royal Gloucester hospital at planned efficiency; and by how many nurses the hospital is presently short of that target.

Mr. Deakins:

The Gloucestershire royal hospital has a funded nursing establishment of 602— whole-time equivalent. At 30th October the number of staff in post was 20 below the funded establishment.
