Whether the United Nations peacekeeping force in Southern Lebanon has fulfilled its mandate to return the area to the Lebanese Government and, if not, what is the reason for the delay.
Lord GORONWY-ROBERTSMAn interim report by the United Nations Secretary-General on the activities of the United Nations peace-keeping force in Lebanon published on 18th November makes clear that the complete deployment of the United Nations interim force in Lebanon and thus the progressive re-establishment of the Lebanese Government's authority has been blocked by lack of co-operation on the part of Lebanesede facto forces in the area and also of the Government of Israel.
