§ Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list in the Official Report for the latest available year the 525W expenditure incurred by each local authority which has embarked on a scheme of concessionary travel, the amount of such expenditure in each case which has, or will be, reimbursed by central Government and the percentage of the latter to the former.
§ Mr. HoramEstimates made for rating purposes are included in"Financial General and Rating Statistics"published annually by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Acountancy. Government support for individual local authorities cannot be expressed as reimbursement of or as a percentage of expenditure on one service. I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to his Question of 20th November. Rate support grant is distributed in aid of revenue generally and is not allocated to particular services.—[Vol. 958, c. 444.]
