§ Mr. Guy BarnettThe compulsory purchase procedures generally work well, as do the arrangements for compensating those whose land is taken. Representations about particular aspects have been received from time to time, and are noted for consideration. The law on these matters was reviewed in substantial legislation as recently as the Land Compensation Act 1973 and the Community Land Act 1975.
