HC Deb 02 August 1978 vol 955 c469W
Mr. Brocklebank-Fowler

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his latest estimate of the percentage by which water rates have been increased by the Anglian Water Authority since February 1974.

Mr. Marks

The average water rate levied by the Anglian Water Authority in 1978–79, equated to take account of a standing charge, represents an estimated increase of about 82.75 per cent. over the average rate levied in 1974–75.
