Member to the answer I gave him on 28th April 1978—[Vol. 948; c. 724–5.] The acquisition or appropriation of land for gipsy caravan sites is entirely a matter for the local authority concerned. There is no obligation on them to inform my right hon. Friend of the status of the land they are seeking to acquire or appropriate.
