Mr. John Moore

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing for each year since 1945 (a) total public expenditure, (b) public expenditure as a percentage of gross domestic product and (c) public expenditure as a percentage of gross national product.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report a table based on Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development figures, for each current member State of the EEC, for each year since 1960 and for each quarter since 1974, for those countries for which quarterly data is available in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development publication "Quarterly National Accounts Bulletin", the proportion of the gross national product devoted to investment by manufacturing industry.
