HC Deb 02 August 1978 vol 955 c460W
Mr. Shepherd

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what he expects will be the increase in average and peak traffic flows, eastbound and westbound, through Ross-on-Wye on the A40 trunk route subsequent to the commencement of the reconstruction of the M5 motorway in Worcestershire.

Mr. Horam

Although some additional traffic may use the A40 through Ross-on-Wye during the reconstruction of the M5, this road is not to be signed as a diversion route. Experience last year suggests the increase will not be significant.
