§ Mr. Shepherdasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if her Department is aware of Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 1546/78 of 4th July 1978 which came into force on 7th July 1978 and which amends Regulation (EEC) No. 1998/77 laying down detailed rules for the sale of milk and certain milk products at reduced prices to school children; if so, why there has been a delay of three weeks so far in issuing guidance to local education authorities; and, in view of the short time before the commencement of the autumn term, when she will now issue that guidance so that all children in the maintained sector can benefit from an increased content of milk and milk products in their school meal at no additional cost to the education authority or ratepayer.
