§ 14. Mr. Willeyasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will extend the experimental scheme of £20 a week for employers who employ workers who 205W have been out of a job for a year or more to include Sunderland.
§ Mr. BoothIt would not be feasible to include Sunderland within the adult employment subsidy experiment because of the lack of other suitable comparable areas with which to make the comparisons on which the experiment is based. I intend to consider the possibility of extension of the scheme to other areas in the light of the outcome of the experiment.
