§ Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Industry, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Sowerby, in which he stated that 33 applications for assistance in Calderdale are under consideration, if he will qualify the total assistance represented in those 33 applications.
§ Mr. CryerThe 33 applications involve project costs of around £20 million: it is not possible to quantify the amount of assistance involved precisely because under some schemes it is individually negotiated, but it is likely to total around £3½ million.
