HC Deb 26 April 1978 vol 948 cc607-8W
Mr. Adam Hunter

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many sheltered houses have been built in Scotland since 1973; and if he will provide a list of the local authorities involved in the building of such houses.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

The preliminary results of a survey last year show about 6,600 sheltered houses completed, under construction, or approved awaiting start—providing 11,300 resident places—in 55 local authority districts in Scotland. I am sending details to my hon. Friend. The information readily available does not enable me to distinguish the houses built since 1973.
