§ 26. Mr. MacGregorasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will introduce a new designation of tourism development areas for the purposes of allocating grants under Section 4 of the Development of Tourism Act 1969.
§ Mr. MeacherI receive many suggestions for extending these areas but there would be considerable disadvantages in doing so until the Government can make available more money to support wider coverage. Tourism—and particularly410W hotels—will benefit from recent Budget measures.
