officials of the Chancellor's departments—defined as "Treasury" in Table 2 of the Minister for the Civil Service's answer to my hon. Friend on 23rd March—[Vol. 936, c. 682–5]—were (a) Second Permanent Secretary, Overseas Finance, Her Majesty's Treasury (b) Chairman of the Board of Inland Revenue and (c) Comptroller General of the National Debt Office. The companies with which they subsequently took up appointment were respectively Guinness Mahon and Co. Ltd. (banking), Price Waterhouse and Co. (accounting), and the Central Trustee Savings Bank Ltd. (banking).
One of the individuals is no longer employed in the finance industry: neither of the other two currently has official contact with Her Majesty's Treasury.
