Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish a table showing the combined value of the married man's personal tax allowance, the family allowance and child tax allowance on the same basis as table 4.2 in the supplementary benefits administration paper No. 6 entitled "Low Incomes", using the new figures announced in the Budget Statement.

(3) The equivalent October 1977 prices are based on the assumption of a 7 per cent. increase in prices between November 1977 and November 1978.
(4) The April 1979 values have not been included, because the married man's tax allowance is not known and calculating the equivalent October 1977 values would require an unduly long estimate of future price movements.
