§ Mr. Harry EwingGlasgow did not take up its full allocation for 1977–78 but will be able to draw the balance later under carry-forward arrangements and will not lose the money.
152WAs part of its ongoing programme of improvements in hospitals of all types, the board is continually upgrading accommodation for the elderly; three more day hospitals for the elderly are being planned or are under construction; the use for long-stay elderly patients of vacant or under-utilised acute hospital wards is being pursued; and six projects providing new in-patient accommodation for elderly patients are included in the major building programme.
