§ Mr. Peter Millsasked the Secretary of State for Trade, in view of the "Amoco Cadiz" disaster, how many powerful ocean-going tugs are available on standby at Plymouth or Falmouth to deal with an emergency off the South-West Coast.
§ Mr. Clinton DavisI understand that there is usually at least one of the more powerful ocean going tugs suitable for towing large vessels present in the vicinity of the West country ports. The deployment of these tugs is, however, a matter for the commercial judgment of the towing and salvage companies concerned.
