(2) how many people were employed on the railways in 1945, 1955, 1965 and 1977, or the most recent 12-month period for which figures are available;
(3) how many passenger journeys have been taken on the railways for 1945, 1955, 1965 and 1977, or the most recent 12-month period for which figures are available.
(4) what volume of freight was carried by the railways in 1945, 1955, 1965 and 1977, or the most recent 12-month period for which figures are available.
