§ Mr. McCrindleasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will estimate the cost of allowing school fees against tax at the standard rate.
§ Mr. Robert Sheldon, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 7th April 1978; Vol. 947, c. 256], gave the following information:
I regret that the information on which to base a precise estimate is not available, but the cost would probably be of the order of £100 million.
