HC Deb 10 April 1978 vol 947 cc331-2W
Mr. McCrindle

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has made any representations to the Canadian Government on the clubbing of baby seals; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Judd

My right hon. Friend has not made any formal representations to the Canadian Government on the clubbing of baby seals, which is a matter of internal Canadian policy. However, we know that through their high commission in London they are aware of the widespread feeling aroused in this country by these activities.
