HC Deb 06 April 1978 vol 947 cc158-9W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister if he will publish details of the boards, commissions, committees or other types of organisations established by his Department since October 1974, giving in each case the purpose of the organisation, the chairman's and members' salaries and expenses, and the total cost of the organisation for each year since 1974.

The Prime Minister

The following is the information: the Advisory Committee on the Acceptance of Business Appointments by Crown Servants. The purpose of the committee is to advise on applications by senior Crown servants to take up commercial appointments within two years of retirement or resignation. The chairman and members receive no remuneration and have not claimed any expenses; the annual cost of the committee is negligible.
