HC Deb 05 April 1978 vol 947 cc128-9W
Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what agreements have been signed between the United Kingdom and West German and Polish Governments for the importing of coking coal to the United Kingdom in the year 1979–80; and what tonnage is intended should be imported from these two countries.

Mr. Benn

There are not intergovernmental agreements, but the British Steel Corporation has contracts for the supply of some high grade coking coal from Poland and West Germany.
