§ Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Industry what amount of assistance his Department has provided under its scheme to assist feasibility studies into collaborative arrangements among small firms; and whether he has any plans to extend the closing date for receipt of applications for assistance under the scheme.
§ Mr. CryerOf the £100,000 available, the total amount so far committed is about £35,000. The scheme, which was introduced in April 1976, was due to terminate on 31st March this year. However, in view of a recent increase in the number of applications for assistance, the Department has decided to extend the operation of the scheme beyond 31st March until the £100,000 available has been fully taken up.
