asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has any plans to give male prisoners equal rights with female prisoners to wear clothes of their own choosing.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what are the criteria used by prison censors in determining which prison mail is acceptable and which is not.

Mr. John:

The criteria used to determine whether prisoners' correspondence is acceptable or not are set out in Prison Standing Orders, a copy of which is in the Library of the House.
