asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many officials of the Inland Revenue in the West Midlands are spending more than one day per week visiting companies to collect PAYE cheques.

Capital transfer tax and estate duty of £6.9 million remained uncollected at 31st March 1977 on assessments raised by 31st March 1976. Finally, £50.2 million of value added tax due in calendar year 1976 remained uncollected at 30th September 1977.
