HC Deb 26 October 1977 vol 936 c666W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what revenue accrued to the Treasury from taxation relating to private practice insurance benefits in 1976–77; what is his estimate for 1977–78; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Robert Sheldon:

Information on which to base precise figures is not available, but it is estimated that for 1976–77 the revenue yield was about £10 million. For 1977–78 the yield is expected to be about £12 million.
