HC Deb 26 October 1977 vol 936 cc830-1W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what was the cost to public funds of the resurfacing work recently carried out at Buffer Depot No. 528S at Hoe Bridge, Working; and why it is necessary.

Mr. Marks:

I have been asked to reply.

The cost was £2,400. This was necessitated by the fact that deliveries are made by heavy lorries which have damaged the surface of the off-loading area. The forecourt was pitted, and this presented a hazard to the workers who tranship the contents of the lorries on to portable conveyor belts.
