§ Mr. Onslowasked the Secretary of State for Transport what was the cost to public funds of the resurfacing work recently carried out at Buffer Depot No. 528S at Hoe Bridge, Working; and why it is necessary.
§ Mr. Marks:I have been asked to reply.
The cost was £2,400. This was necessitated by the fact that deliveries are made by heavy lorries which have damaged the surface of the off-loading area. The forecourt was pitted, and this presented a hazard to the workers who tranship the contents of the lorries on to portable conveyor belts.
