HC Deb 26 October 1977 vol 936 c841W
Mr. Shersby

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has received from the British Union of Trawlermen and the Association of Fried Fish Caterers concerning viable fishing opportunities in the waters of the Antarctic Convergence.

Mr. Bishop:

My right hon. Friend has received representations from the Confederation of Fried Fish Caterers Association urging that the Government should declare 200 miles fisheries limits around the British islands in the South Atlantic in order to facilitate exploitation of the resources of fish and krill in that area.

We have received no representations from any organisation with the title British Union of Trawlermen.
