§ Mr. Jim Spicerasked the Secretary of State for Energy if, in view of the continued interest in high temperature reactors, particularly in the USA, Germany and Japan, he will consider recommissioning the Dragon reactor at Winfrith.
§ Mr. Eadie:No. Every effort was made to secure international support for a further extension of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency's Dragon project before it was closed down, but without success. There has been no recent developments which would justify recommissioning the Dragon reactor.
