§ Mr. BennThe 1967 White Paper on Economic and Financial Objectives of the Nationalised Industries (Cmnd. 3437) recognised that whereas financial targets were to be set mostly in terms of a percentage return on net assets, other objectives might be appropriate in certain industries and at certain times. The Government's policy for the future will be announced later.
