§ Mr. Townsendasked the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects work to start on the improvement of the London North Circular Road A406, between (a) Pope's Lane and Hanger Lane, (b) Falloden Way and Finchley High Road, (c) Bounds Green Road and Green Lane, (d) Fore Street and Hall Lane, and (e) Hale End Road to Waterworks Corner.
§ Mr. HoramWork has just started on dualling the section of the North Circular Road between Hale End Road and Waterworks Corner. It is hoped that the improvement of the other four sections will start in the first half of the 1980s, but the precise starting dates will depend on the time taken for completion of the necessary statutory processes and on the availability of funds at the time.
